面試通知：You are on the shortlist，到底是入選還是落選？(一)
Nancy問外籍同事，最近業務忙不忙，同事回答：「There's a whole laundry list of things to do.」，Nancy覺得同事真怪，明明問他工作，為什麼他說有很多髒衣服要洗，這不是文不對題嗎？
其實Nancy搞錯了，這裡的laundry和洗衣服一點關係都沒有。
1、There's a whole laundry list of things to do.
（錯）有很多髒衣服要洗。
（對）還有一大堆的事要做。
laundry這個字原來是指「洗衣房、洗衣店」，洗衣服在英文裡不用「wash clothes」，而用do the laundry。
★ She did the laundry and hung it out to dry.
她洗了衣服，掛起來晾乾。
